Volunteers needed!

If you are interested in working the convention this year please let us know! We will be needing help with such jobs as security, load in, load out, and much more!  If you want to be part of the team and live in the area, please let us know!  This may or may not be easy work. Expect long hours, sore feet, lots of running around, and a fun experience to tell your friends about later! Email jarrod@lexingtoncomiccon.com for more info!

Table space is nearly gone!

Fair warning folks! If you want vendor space now is the time to reserve it! We are sold out of 10x10 booths and sold out of tables for artists and exhibitors. We do still have approximatley 14 tables left for vendors. The only issue is that all of the remaining space is located on corners. There is now no way to get two tables in a straight line. If you reserve two tables, expect them to be on a corner making a 6’ x 8 1/2’ floor space with two 6’ tables. Those spaces are $200.00 and can be reserved by purchasing two “vendor tables” from the shopping cart located at: www.lexingtoncomiccon.com/boothinfo.html

At this time we can not accomodate anyone needing anything bigger than the above mentioned spaces. If you have any questions please email me BEFORE you reserve your space for further information.

There is an off chance that cancelations and floor plan changes may still happen so if you need space other than what I currently have available please email us to be put on a waiting list!

Now accepting panel submissions

We are starting to put together our 2013 panel schedule now! If you are interested in hosting a panel of nearly any kind, let us know. We are accepting submissions until January 1st and if you are accepted you will be notified by January 15th. To submit your idea please email the name of your proposed panel, who will host it, how much time you will need and a brief description. If your panel is accepted you will be provided the space and a time slot to conduct your panel and a free exhibitor table on the main floor of the con. Email your submissions to jarrod@lexingtoncomiccon.com

2013’s guest list has gone crazy!

Seriously! Have you seen the guest list this year? LCTC is assembling a guest list that will have something for everyone this year! That said, It’s still 9 months away and lots can still happen so keep watching!

$1000.00 Costume contest announced for 2013

Attention cosplayers! Break out your needles and thread as we are upping the ante on our 2013 costume contest! We are gonna kick out at LEAST $1000 in cash prizes this year! We will have several awesome cosplayers in town for this one so you better bring your big guns out!  Rules to be forthcoming over the course of the next 9 months but for sure ALL COSTUMES MUST BE HANDMADE!

2013 here we come!

Well guys, our first con has came and went. Overall it was a massive success with just over 4100 people coming to our first con! We are pleased to announce that next years con will be a two day event on March 16&17th. We plan to be twice as long and twice as big in 2013. I have expanded our space and can now offer as many booths as we want. Within the next two weeks, the website will be updated to reflect all of the 2013 information. The unfortunate part of growth into a two day event is that some costs will have to go up a bit. That said, we intend to maintain the VALUE of your admissions and table fees by giving you a con that rivals anything in the midwest and still come in as one of the most affordable to attend. Expect a massive surge in guest appearances and in booth count for 2013. Now that we are rolling, we have no intentions of slowing down. This is Lexington’s year to shine!

New vendors and exhibitors added!

In the past few days we have booked several new exhibitors and vendors into Lex-con including Classic Galaxy Toys, Hyve of Villiany, The Bowling Green Comic Creators Group, The Bluegrass Otaku, and Aaron Lambert Art! We are pleased to have them all onboard and at this point we only have (2) vendor tables left to sell!

Survivor star Mikayla Wingle coming to LCTC!

In May of 2010, the strong-willed and self motivated “jersey girl” decided she wanted to begin her long term dream of being a model but in the past was always pushed aside due to her athletics.. Even though she was making a huge splash in the modeling industry, the “tom boy” in her couldn’t quite let sports go, so she decided to try out for the Tampa Breeze of the lingerie football league. She became the face of the franchise. So much so that she was 1 of 9 girls chosen to do a special for the Feb 2011 edition of Playboy, in which she graced the front cover.

Mikayla’s career continued to flourish when she was chosen to become one of the cast members of reality television series “CBS Survivor” Season 23. Mikayla quickly became a fan favorite on the show. Since the show, Mikayla has made many appearances at different nightclubs, and sporting events as well as volunteering to help with various charities at any chance she gets. She has landed endorsement opportunities as she continues to grow into a special talent in both the entertainment and modeling industries.

Back to the Future Delorean coming to LCTC!

The DeLorean Time Machine as seen in the film “Back to the Future” will be appearing at the Lexington Comic & Toy Con for photo opportunities!

Don’t miss your chance to sit inside this faithful, street legal replica, driven by Christopher Lloyd as Doc Brown himself and featuring the famous ‘Flux Capacitor.’ It has toured four countries as an ambassador for the official web site BTTF.com, appeared in international ad campaigns for Nike and is used to raise funds and awareness for the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinsons Research.
